Dei Rosso di Montepulciano 2003 (****)
Montepulciano, Tuscany, Italy. $16.99.
Dark ruby, with amber notes. Black cherry in the nose, with a little spice. It smells a bit sweet.
The taste is fruity - cherry again, with a nice tannic backbone.
I really love this wine. We often drink it with homemade pizzas - it's wonderful with prosciutto.
